McPherson Cleaners was founded in 1953 by the late Willard McPherson, and is currently owned and managed by his son Gary McPherson with the help of his son Ian McPherson. In 1992, Gary’s brother, Jeff McPherson, led the McPherson Cleaners team to success in Burlington until Gary took over two years later. Over the years, Gary learned about dry cleaning, customer service, and managing a successful business from his father. Willard taught Gary to follow the statement, “Do the best job you can.” That mantra has been passed down to Ian today. At McPherson Cleaners we understand the importance of quality craftsmanship and personalized customer service.

 

Three Generations of Growth

 

Over three generations of family business, McPherson Cleaners has grown to two locations. Our Burlington flagship location has been joined by a shop in Chapel Hill. With multiple locations we are able to provide McPherson’s brand of quality dry cleaning care to a wider customer base.

The Award of Excellence is the top award our industry can give to Dry Cleaners and McPherson Cleaners is one of the only dry cleaners in the state that has won this award. We have continued to receive this award for the past 12 years, which is a testament to our great service put forth by Willard McPherson back in 1953 and continued today by Gary and Ian.
