McPherson Cleaners Wedding Gown Preservation & Cleaning Process
At McPherson Cleaners we understand not many days are as important in a person’s life as their wedding day. For this reason we pride ourselves in our ability to preserve this special moment for years to come. Our wedding gown preservation and cleaning process is meticulous because we understand each gown we preserve and clean is not just a garment but a precious memory. McPherson Cleaners’ step-by-step preservation and cleaning process has been perfected by over 60 years of experience to guarantee the highest quality workmanship.
Each wedding gown is hand pressed by a Dry Cleaning and Laundry Certified Presser and Finisher using controlled steam to make sure your gown is wrinkle free while protecting all beads, buttons and zippers. Once pressed, your gown is examined to ensure perfection before moving to the next step.
Each bride wants her dress to fit perfectly and our alterations shop can make that happen for you during a fitting session. Our talented seamstresses will make sure your gown is the ideal fit for your wedding day.
Enjoy your wedding day knowing that we will handle the cleanup afterwards! When a gown is brought in we examine the entire garment with you to look for any spots, stains or problem areas so we can clean it thoroughly. The dress will be individually hand spotted by our Advanced Wedding Gown Specialist so it is as pristine as the day you bought it. Afterwards, the dress will be pressed or preserved depending upon your needs.
To keep your gown looking as good as the day you said “I do”, we preserve the gown to last for decades. Once a Preservation Cleaning is performed, we place the gown in a Keepsake Preservation Box with acid free tissue paper and acid free tape. This is a containment system that allows you to view the gown as you please while maintaining it in a controlled environment for years to come.
Preservation of Keepsake Items as Well
McPherson Cleaners will not only preserve you wedding gown but we also proudly preserve other keepsake items such as military uniforms and christening gowns. The same high quality process we use for wedding gowns will be utilized to ensure any treasured garment will be kept safe for years to come.
